Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Clay Coton river gauge as a result of Storm Bert. Consequently, flooding of property is possible tonight, 24/11/24. We expect flooding to affect properties in Cold Ashby Road in Clay Coton and Yelvertoft Village, including High Street, Swinnertons Lane, Elkins Close, Elkington Road, Bridgend and Ashwells Lane and along Lilbourne Lane.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 2 hours. We expect river levels to rise overnight.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 12:00 on 25/11/24, or as the situation changes.
