Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

The Flood Alert will remain in place for the lunchtime high tide on Sunday 19/04/2026. The peak is expected at 1:15PM, and will be high for a period before and after this time.

Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths along the coast at North Morecambe Bay from Roosebeck to Carnforth including low lying areas around Ulverston, Greenodd, Haverthwaite, Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands, Levens, Milnthorpe, Sandside, Arnside and Silverdale.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.

This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 19 April 2026 or as the situation changes.
