Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High spring tides are expected to affect the foreshore between Sandgate and Dungeness. Tides will be at their highest between 11:15am and 1:15pm tomorrow, Friday 18/10/2024, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We expect flooding to affect coastal areas, particularly low lying land around Hythe, Dymchurch, Littlestone and Greatstone.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads between Sandgate and Dungeness.
This Alert will remain in force until Saturday afternoon as similar high tides are forecast around Saturday lunchtime, 19/10/2024. This message will be updated on Friday evening, 18/10/2024, or as the situation changes.
