Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High spring tides are expected to affect the foreshore between Sandgate and Dungeness. Tides will be at their highest between 12:30pm and 1:30pm tomorrow, Saturday 19/10/2024, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We expect flooding to affect coastal areas, particularly low lying land around, Hythe, Dymchurch, Littlestone and Greatstone.
We are closely monitoring the situation. The peak tide level is currently forecast to be 4.52 metres Ordnance Datum at Rye Harbour at 13:00 BST on Saturday.
Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads between Sandgate and Dungeness.
