Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Flooding is possible around the high tide from 01:00 BST on 31/03/2025.
Areas most at risk include coastal areas, particularly low lying land and roads nearest the sea.
Coastal conditions are expected to improve tomorrow and no further flooding is expected.
Our operations teams are closing flood gates. Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is for a peak level at Rye of 4.71 mAODN at 01:00 BST on 31/03/2025, which is 0.33 m above tide tables, with northerly force 4 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.)
We will remove this message by 9:00 AM on 31/03/2025.
