Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Tuesday's early morning tide at 00:15 on 11/02/2020 is higher than normal due to high tides and Force 8 winds and large waves. The weather increases tide table values by 0.47 m. The total forecast tide is 7.98 metres Chart Datum (4.33 mAOD) at Eastbourne. The tide will be the highest ever recorded. For 2 hours either side of high water, spray is expected to affect the National Cycle Network Route, Bulverhythe railway line, Sea Road and Cinque Ports Way. There are high tides and large waves forecast until Thursday 13/02/2020. Tuesday's tide at 12:30 will be lower, but could still cause minor impacts. We continue to monitor the forecast. Avoid walking, cycling or parking at Bulverhythe sea front at high tide. Spray and waves will contain and scatter shingle which is dangerous. We will update this message by 17:00 on 10/02/2020 with information of the high tide at 12:30 on 11/02/2020
