Flood warning

River levels have been rising slowly on Mill Beck at Cottingham. The area most at risk is properties around King Street, Northgate, Dunswell Road and North Moor Lane. Levels may remain high on Saturday 25/11/2023 and Sunday 26/11/2023. Further rain is forecast on Sunday night, Monday 27/11/2023 and Tuesday 28/11/2023. Levels may rise further on Creyke, Mill and Broadlane Becks at Cottingham in response to this rain. We continue to monitor the forecast. Please consider putting your flood plan into action and avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses. We will update this message by 9am on 26/11/2023, or as the situation changes.
