Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising in the Cottingham area in response to recent rainfall. Levels are expected to rise quickly on Creyke, Mill and Broadlane Becks at Cottingham on Monday morning, 27/11/2023 onwards. Further rain is forecast during Monday and on Tuesday 28/11/2023. The area most at risk is properties around King Street, Northgate, Dunswell Road and North Moor Lane. We continue to monitor the forecast. Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action and avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses. We will update this message by 5pm on 27/11/2023, or as the situation changes.
