Water levels in the River Meon, at East Meon and West Meon, are falling, following yesterday’s rain when 35 mm was recorded at Warnford. This is a significant amount of rain in a short period of time, and is in addition to the prolonged rainfall over the last few months. The weather is now fairly dry for the next 5 days and we expect water levels to continue to fall over the next few days. A Flood Alert for the Upper Meon remains in force, as there will continue to be flooding on land throughout the Meon valley. We will continue to monitor the river and weather forecast information.
