This Flood Warning has been removed for the coastline at Denge Marsh near Jury’s Gap. This afternoon’s tide has passed and no significant flooding was recorded. A Flood Alert will remain in force for the general area and is likely to remain in force until the afternoon of Wednesday 2 October 2019. No internal flooding of homes or businesses is expected in association with the ongoing Flood Alert.

We continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff continue to liaise with local councils and emergency services. Environment Agency operatives will be working on the beach and on the flood defences around Jury’s Gap during the coming days in order to reinstate beach material.
