This Flood Warning has been removed. Our staff are currently undertaking work to place rock and shingle at Jury’s Gap following damage from Storm Ciara. Therefore the risk of property flooding has now significantly reduced, however a Flood Alert remains in force and some overtopping of defences may still affect roads and low-lying land during periods of high tide over the next few days.
We have staff on site closely monitoring the situation and will re-issue this warning if necessary. The next high tide at Rye is forecast to be 4.22 mAOD at 1:40am on Thursday, 13/02/2020.
The weather forecast is for a period of unsettled weather on Thursday morning followed by more significant disruption over the weekend, with the arrival of Storm Dennis.
