Flooding expected. Take action now.
Exceptional rainfall over the last couple of months has resulted in increasing groundwater levels. Although currently stable any further rainfall could lead to ongoing property flooding in the Barrow upon Humber area. Properties on Westoby Lane, Park View and Orchard Close areas are most likely to be affected through the rest of this week. Rainfall forecast for Wednesday and Thursday is being closely monitored for further potential impacts. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area and we are closely monitoring the situation together with other agencies. This message will be updated again on Wednesday 27th November, or as the situation changes.
