Flooding expected. Take action now.
Exceptional rainfall over the last couple of months has resulted in increasing groundwater levels. Although groundwater levels are very slowly receeding, any further rainfall could lead to on going property flooding in the Barrow upon Humber area. Properties on Westoby Lane, Park View and Orchard Close areas are most likely to be affected through the rest of this week. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area and we are closely monitoring the situation and further rainfall together with other agencies. This message will be updated again on Thursday 28th November, or as the situation changes.
