Flood alert

High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 18/02/2026 because of a very wet start to 2026.
On Wednesday 18/02/2026, up to 25mm of rain is forecast to impact Hampshire. If heavy rain affects Bishops Sutton, flooding could begin to affect cellars of a small number of properties. Impacts to septic tanks and flooding of roads such as the B3047 is possible. From Thursday 19/02/2026 to Saturday 21/02/2026, only small amounts of rain are forecast. Groundwater levels in Bishops Sutton should begin to stabilise after Wednesday's rain, but flood risk will continue throughout February.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
This message will be updated by 6:00PM on 24 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
