Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible . Over a month's rain (69mm) has fallen in the last week.
We expect the Idsworth Lavant to be flowing. Pumps which may prevent water from entering property may be required. Surface water may flood property during heavier rain events. Further rain (up to 20mm) is forecast on Thursday (05/02/2026). Lighter rain is forecast from Friday (06/02/2026) to Sunday (08/02/2026). If heavy rain affects the area, then groundwater levels will rise into next week. From this weekend, road flooding, including Chalton Road in Finchdean, could become deep in all villages. Cellar flooding could occur in Dean Lane End and Rowlands Castle.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
