High tides on Friday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 2 hours either side of Friday afternoon's tide at 15:27 on 09/01/2026.
The weather increases tide table values by 0.07 m. The total forecast tide is 4.35 metres Chart Datum (1.62 mAOD) at Portsmouth. Strong North Westerly Force 5 wind. This could lead to some overtopping or spray affecting beach front gardens, car parks and roads across the entire southern frontage.
Saturday's tide at 03:30 10/01/2026 is forecast to be 1 cm higher (1.63 mAOD).
We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities .
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Avoid South Hayling seafront. Shingle can be thrown by wind and waves.
