Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are forecast to rise at the Size Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low lying land, roads and farmland is possible between 17:30 and 19:00 today, 25/08/20. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for land and some property at Worsley Business Park and Mosley Common Road. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to peak at 1.1 metres.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels.
Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/08/2020, or as the situation changes.
