Langbridge and Alverstone on the Eastern Yar

Warning no longer in force

Water levels in the Eastern Yar remain high but they are now slowly falling. Over the next 5 days, small amounts of rain are forecast each day, except on Friday (21/02/2020) which should remain dry. Throughout this week, water levels in the river will remain high and, will rise and fall a little with the rain. It is unlikely that the rain will flood property, but a continuation of minor impact flooding affecting land and roads is expected. A Flood Alert remains in force for the Eastern Yar. We continue to monitor the forecast and will issue further advice if levels rise significantly.
