Flooding expected. Take action now.
High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Monday.
Flooding is expected on 02 February 2026 , as a lot of rain (nearly 40mm) fell overnight.
River levels in the Eastern Yar remain high. River levels are falling at Budbridge and Alverstone. Flooding is continuing to affect the road, a small number of properties in Alverstone and Langbridge, restrict access to Horringford, Golf links road, and affect footpaths. Garden flooding is also expected to be continuing at Whitwell High Street. On Tuesday (03/02/2026), another 30mm of rainfall is forecast. If as much rain falls as forecast, river levels will rise again on Tuesday. River levels and flood risk will remain high for the next few days.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Activate any flood protection products you may have . Including in Alverstone.
