Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Friday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 1 hour either side of Friday's early morning tide at 03:00 on 09/01/2026.
Storm Goretti increases tide table values by 0.82 m. Total forecast tide is 5.27 metres Chart Datum (2.54 mAOD) at Portsmouth with strong North Westerly Force 7 wind. Levels will be high at South Street and Queen Street Emsworth. The Ship Inn car park at Langstone will flood. Water will flow into the road at Langstone High Street, although flood depths will be relatively shallow, and flooding will only cause impacts nearest to the harbour front. Friday's tide at 15:15 09/01/2026 is forecast to be 95 cm lower (1.57 mAOD). No further flood impacts are expected.
