Warning no longer in force

The River Ouse near Lindfield has now fallen nearer to a normal level, following Monday's rain. Only minimal residual flood impacts affecting fields, gardens, and roads are expected to remain. No rain is forecast for the next five days, with high pressure predicted to bring dry and settled weather. Further unsettled weather is possible next week, which could raise river levels again. Riverside properties at Dean's Water Mill and Lindfield Bridge are encouraged to keep flood protection products close by, and ready for future installation, if you have them. We are operating our structures at Pimms Lock to help keep the river flowing freely and reduce flood risk. We will re-issue this Flood Warning if property flooding becomes expected.
