Forecast high river levels tomorrow may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible on 26 August 2026 From mid-morning into the afternoon and evening. 
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Kingfisher Way, Forest Road, Monarch Way and Belton Road industrial areas from the Wood Brook, the Grace Dieu Brook, Burleigh Brook, Black Brook, Grammar School Brook, Hermitage Brook, Sileby Brook, Long Whatton Brook, King’s Brook and Kingston Brook. Heavy rainfall is forecast throughout the day from the early hours of tomorrow, 26/08/2026 with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Thursday, 27/08/2026, with lighter persistent rainfall through Friday, 28/08/2026. River levels across 
We are closely monitoring the situation & clearing debris from weed screens. 
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses & monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
