Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is still possible. Areas most at risk include Bickerley, Ringwood and the B3347 from Christchurch to Stony Lane in Christchurch. River levels have peaked but remain very high following the recent rainfall and the high groundwater. Little rainfall is forecast for today and the next few days, but high groundwater and water coming down from higher in the catchment may cause levels to remain high. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please continue to use any flood protection products you may have. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. Check local authority websites for road closures. This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 20 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
