River levels remain high but are beginning to fall on the Lower Dorset Frome.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast overnight which will cause river levels to rise again.
Flooding is affecting areas in Dorchester, West Stafford, Bockhampton, Lewell, Tincleton, Pallington, Waddock, Moreton, Wool and East Stoke today on 08/12/2023.
Further rainfall is forecast overnight.
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall, but the risk of flooding to properties remains.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area.
We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
