Flood alert

River levels will remain high overnight following today’s rainfall. Flooding is possible on 07 February 2026 evening into 08 February 2026. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers, particularly along the River Stour in Wye, Canterbury, and Fordwich. No further heavy rainfall is forecast for tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 09:00 on Sunday 8 February 2026, or as the situation changes
