Flood alert

High river levels and further rainfall over the next few days may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from Friday into the weekend. Catchments are saturated with river levels remaining high, these may rise again throughout Saturday. Forecast levels may cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the rivers. The main areas of concern are Crediton, Newton St Cyres and Upton Hellions. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 3:30PM on 24 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
