Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

This Flood Warning remains in force due to strong winds, surge, and high spring tides on the coast and Humber estuary. Wave and spray overtopping is possible tomorrow, Friday 23/04/24 between 8:45AM and 9:30AM. This could cause some localised flooding. Areas most at risk include North bank of Humber estuary to the east of Humber Bridge, particularly around Hessle foreshore. We are expecting higher than normal tides over the coming days and as a result we may issue further alerts or warnings. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads, as the waves and sea spray could be dangerous. This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on Friday, 23/08/2024, or as the situation changes.
