Flood warning

Flooding is expected for the Ilfracombe over the high tide on Friday morning. High water at Ilfracombe is at 7.15am, times of high water will vary along the coast.
Force 10 south westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 7m are forecast. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Expect tides to be around 0.7m higher than predicted due to weather conditions.
Large waves and spray are likely, expect debris to be thrown up by wave action at exposed locations along the North Devon Coast. Take care near coastal paths and promenades. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Please be aware of the dangers caused by strong winds, particularly in exposed locations.
Coastal conditions should ease for Saturday morning's high tide, however we are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes.
