Warning no longer in force

The risk of property flooding from the sea on the North Coast of Devon has now reduced. Tide levels are falling, however there remains a risk of wave overtopping to quays, low lying land and roads. Therefore Flood Alerts will remain in force over this period across the North Devon Coast
As Storm Eunice clears the County, large waves and Storm force winds will continue to make conditions near the coast hazardous over the high spring tides which peak on Saturday morning 19th. People are advised to stay away from risk areas and take care next to the coast.
Rainfall forecast over the weekend is not expected to result in Main River flooding. We will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates as required.
No further flooding is expected on Monday and Tuesday; however, stormy conditions are forecast on Wednesday which, combined with high tides, may lead to further flooding.
Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on local radio.
