Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels have risen at the Holwell river gauge as a result of Storm Alex and the recent heavy persistent rain and increasingly wet catchment conditions. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible from 17:00 onwards in to early evening Sunday 4/10/20, peaking later this evening. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties at Church Street in Nunney.
Further lighter possibly persistent rain is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high this evening and begin to drop overnight into Monday 05/10/20.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Please avoid contact with flood water.
This message will be updated by 17:00 on Monday 05/10/20 or as the situation changes.
