Flood warning

River levels have risen on the Oil Mill Beck due to heavy rainfall. This Flood Warning has been issued because flooding is expected this evening on 07/12/2023 between 06:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Oil Mill Beck, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Troy, Horsforth Woodside and the south eastern edge of Cragg Hill. Further rainfall is forecast over the coming days. We will continue to monitor forecasts and river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 02:00 AM on 07/12/2023, or as the situation changes.
