Wednesday's early morning tide at 00:45 on 10/04/2024 is higher than normal due to unsettled weather with strong Westerly Force 5 winds and large waves. The weather increases tide table values by 0.18 m. The total forecast tide is 7.89 metres Chart Datum (4.24 mAOD) at Eastbourne. While the tide remains higher than normal, it is forecast to be approximately 40cm lower than Monday evening and waves smaller too. For 2 hours either side of high water, minor flood impacts could affect beach top properties from Sovereign Harbour to Cooden Beach. Coastal roads may be affected by water, shingle and other debris. Tide levels will continue to fall for the week ahead. We continue to monitor the forecast. Please take care if visiting the sea front at high water. A Flood Alert remains in force, to describe minor flood impacts Wednesday. We will re issue this Flood Warning if property flooding is expected.
