Warning no longer in force

Storm Ciara bought gale force winds and elevated tide levels along the south coast but has now cleared the area. Last night's tide at Eastbourne at 00:15 came in 30 cm under forecast. Waves were not as big as they were on Sunday. Winds will remain strong (force 7-8) and waves remain large until Friday the 14/02/2020. Tides will be similar Tuesday 11/02/2020 at 12:30 and again Wednesday morning 12/02/2020 at 01:00 which we will have a flood alert out for. A flood alert remains in force for Tuesday 12:30 tide. It is likely we will have a flood alert until Thursday 13/02/2020, to inform about possible minor impacts including spray affecting beach top properties.
