Flooding expected. Take action now.
Levels remain high in the washland, but continue to gradually fall. Whilst high tides are slowing the drop in levels, we do not expect the washland to start filling again on the high tides. As the River Aire levels continue to fall, the washlands will gradually empty.
Areas most at risk include Hirst Marsh and West Marsh, including Hirst Road from West Bank to Coates Hall Farm.
We are continuing to monitor the situation closely. This message will be updated by 13:15 on Wednesday 8 January 2025, or as the situation changes.
