This Flood Warning has now been removed. River levels in the Lower Aire catchment have continued to fall overnight and are expected to continue falling through today, Friday 5th January 2024. Levels in washlands are likely to remain high but gradually drop as we go into the weekend. As such, a Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, with flooding of roads and low-lying land still possible. No significant further rainfall is forecast. We will continue to monitor the situation and our operational staff will be out checking our flood defences. Please continue to take care on waterside roads and footpaths and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger.
