River levels are rising steadily on the River Asker, Mangerton River due to heavy rainfall.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Asker, Mangerton River.
Flooding is affecting properties in Askerswell, Uploders, Yondover and Loders; properties and roads in upper reach villages, West Milton, Powerstock, Askerswell, Uploders, Yondover and Loders around the railway bridge from 01:15 PM on 07/12/2023.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast this afternoon.
River levels are rising steadily.
We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
We will continue to work with emergency services and local authorities and to keep closely monitoring the situation.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
