High river levels today and overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 23 January 2026 . Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Flooding could affect all rivers in the West Dorset area with low lying land expected to be most affected. Flooding is possible near the Rivers Lim, Char, Winniford, Simene, Brit, Asker, Mangerton and Bride. Further heavy rainfall this evening and overnight night tonight could lead to flooding. We are closely monitoring the situation . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 24 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
