Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning. 
Flooding is expected on 09 December 2025 . 
Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the morning.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 04:00AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Chard Junction - including the Three Counties Public House, Creamery and Broad Bridge areas, Broom, Wadbrook, Axe Farm, Weycroft - including Coaxden Cottages, Weycroft Mill and properties on the A358 around Weycroft Bridge
B3165 at Mosterton and Clapton. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.

River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 04:00AM and 05:00PM. 
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . 
Activate any flood protection products you may have . 
This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 09 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
