Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected on 18 December 2025 .
Heavy rain falling in the area today has caused the river to rise.
Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 3:30PM on Thursday. The main areas of concern are Chard Junction - including the Three Counties Public House, Creamery and Broad Bridge areas, Broom, Wadbrook, Axe Farm, Weycroft - including Coaxden Cottages, Weycroft Mill and properties on the A358 around Weycroft Bridge
B3165 at Mosterton and Clapton . Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.
River levels are forecast to be at their highest throughout Thursday afternoon and evening.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Activate any flood protection products you may have .
