Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected on 09 December 2025 due to heavy overnight rain and high tide levels.
River levels are rising rapidly on the River Brit due to the heavy overnight rain and high tides. Further rainfall is forecast through today. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brit, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around River Brit at Riverside and George Street, West Bay. Weather conditions are expected to improve from Wednesday with little rainfall expected and lower tides.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels deploying flood barriers.
Activate any flood protection products you may have and avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near watercourses.
