Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels have risen on the River Brue due to heavy overnight rainfall. Flooding is expected at the A37 Bridgefoot Bridge and properties in Brue Close, Lovington. East Lydford ringbank is forecast to overtop if the river continues to rise. On current forecast, flooding is expected from 6:30 AM onwards on Sunday morning.

Further rainfall is forecast this morning and river levels are expected to remain high throughout Sunday. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels closely.

Start acting on your flood plan if you have one, and consider activating any property flood protection products you may have. Please avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
