Flooding expected. Take action now.
Rising river levels are causing flooding this evening as a result of heavy rainfall today. Flooding is expected from 8.40 PM on 26/01/2025.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brue, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the A37 Bridgefoot Bridge and properties in Brue Close, Lovington. East Lydford ringbank is forecast to overtop if the river continues to rise.
Further flooding is expected overnight as river levels are rising due to heavy rainfall.
We are checking rivers for blockages and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
Activate any property flood protection products you may have.
Refer to local authority website for road closures.
