Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels in the Upper River Calder catchment are rising due to persistent rainfall. Levels are expected to continue to rise before peaking this afternoon.
Flooding of low lying land is possible on 15 December 2025 until the morning of Tuesday 16 December 2025. There may be surface water flooding issues during the heavier spells of rainfall.
This alert covers the River Calder and its tributaries from Todmorden to Brighouse, locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Rainfall is expected to continue until the early hours of Tuesday morning.
We are not currently expecting to issue Flood Warnings, but we are monitoring the situation.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
This message will be updated by 8:00PM on 15 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
