Flooding expected. Take action now.
Levels are rising at the Ashdon rain gauge as a result of persistent rainfall throughout the day today. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible. We expect flooding to affect Old Mead Road in Henham, North Hall Road in Quendon, London Road, Station Road, High Street, Bridge End, Willow Vale, Bury Water Lane, Belmont Hill and Cambridge Road in Newport, Duck Street in Wendons Ambo, Mill Lane and Walden Road in Littlebury.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect levels to remain high today and tomorrow.
Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
