Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling but remain high at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall combined with snowmelt. Consequently, flooding (of property) is imminent. Areas most at risk are Allestree Ford Lane Bridge, Darley Abbey Park, including Duke Street, Bath Street, River Street, Folly Road and Haslams Lane.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and move family, pets and cars to safety.
