Flooding expected. Take action now.
Following overnight rain high river levels resulted in flooding of areas behind defences. While river levels are falling and will continue to fall throughout the day, ponding water trapped in low lying areas will drain slowly and remains a hazard. Please co-operate with Emergency Services who are supporting the communities in these areas.
Localised showers are forecast for Saturday through Sunday. Further frontal rainfall is forecast overnight Sunday 20th into Monday 21st December. We are working with the Met Office and monitoring weather and river level forecasts and will update the situation on Sunday morning.
