Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high at the Chalford river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall and are expected to rise again this afternoon as a result of last night’s rain. Consequently, flooding of property and roads and farmland is expected to continue.
Further scattered showers are forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high into next week.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 10am on Monday 28/12/20, or as the situation changes.
