This is an archived message. The status has changed more recently.
This message has been issued because some flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely to continue today, Saturday 21st October and overnight, Sunday 22nd October. River levels are beginning to drop, but will remain responsive to further rainfall. Areas most at risk are St Mary's Road, Hawks Mill Street, Crown Street, Coddenham Road, Pinecroft Way and Maitland Road in Needham Market. The weather forecast is improving, and we expect levels to start returning to normal soon. The forecast is for no significant rainfall over the next few days, which will allow river levels to start returning to normal. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message tomorrow, Sunday 22nd October.
