This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely in response to the rain that has fallen overnight and this morning, Sunday 18 February 2024. River levels are expected to remain high in response to the rainfall. Areas most at risk are St Mary's Road, Hawks Mill Street, Crown Street, Coddenham Road, Pinecroft Way and Maitland Road in Needham Market. The forecast is for a generally improving weather picture, but with the chance of the odd shower pushing through the catchment. The forecast is for some light showers on Monday 19 February and Tuesday 20 February. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation.
