Flood alert

Forecast rising river levels tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible from the morning of 26 June 2026 . 
Areas most at risk are low-lying recreational areas and roads including High School playing fields on Valley Road and other low lying land and recreational areas, low lying land and roads around the Tottle Brook, Day Brook and River Leen and its tributaries. Thunderstorms are forecast during the early hours of tomorrow morning, 26th June 2026, with low confidence over timing and locations. River levels may rise rapidly due to the nature of the catchment. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . 
This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 26 June 2026 or as the situation changes.
